Zapier integration is a great way to integrate your Autoklose account with any other tool out there.

This article will provide you detailed instructions and examples on how to integrate Autoklose and Salesforce to maximize your sales efforts.

A couple of technical information first:

  • Two-way integration.

  • There are no limits on Autoklose API calls.

  • Zapier has a free account with limited API calls. Beyond that, a paid plan is required.

  • Batched every 5 minutes (controlled by Zapier).

  • Flexible feature set.

Autoklose available triggers are:

  • New Email Click: It’s triggered when a user clicks a link in a campaign email.

  • New Email Open: It’s triggered when a campaign email is opened.

  • New Email Reply: It’s triggered when a user replies to a campaign email.

  • New Email Bounce: It's triggered when a campaign email bounced.

  • New Email Send: It's triggered when a campaign email is sent.

Autoklose available actions are:

  • Add Campaign Recipient: Adds a campaign recipient.

  • Remove Campaign Recipient: Removes a campaign recipient.

  • Add Recipient to Do Not Email List: Adds a new recipient to the Do Not Email list.

Salesforce has over 100 actions and triggers to choose from. Any combination of these will work.

To add a contact to Salesforce based on the campaign activity** you need to configure Zaps in Zapier :

**Please note that you can choose a combination of triggers and actions that will suit your needs and below instructions are just an example of how to configure a proper Zap.

First, log in to your Zapier account and go to My Zaps.

Now click on Make a Zap at the top right-hand corner.

Follow these steps to connect your Autoklose account with Zapier:

Choose App - Autoklose

Choose Trigger Event - New Email Open

Connect your Autoklose account

Once the account is connected go to Customize Email - Here you can choose to manage duplicates and even choose to include specific campaigns in case you don’t want to have all active campaigns included.

The next step is choosing the app you want to connect -  in this case, that should be Salesforce, and choose Action Event :

The next step is to connect your Salesforce account:

Now we are coming to the Customize Contact step, and you can do this by choosing one or more custom fields:

The required fields for this are ID and Custom Value for ID.

The ID is set in the previous step and the other fields are optional. For each optional field you have two choices: Provide data for that default field based on the data in Autoklose or based on the data from Salesforce.

The next step is to set up the option to Update Contact in Salesforce :

Choose App & Event - Salesforce

Choose Action Event - Update Contact

The required fields for this are ID and Custom Value for ID.

The ID is set in the previous step and the other fields are optional. For each optional field you have two choices: Provide data for the field based on the data in Autoklose or based on the data from Salesforce.

The last step is to turn on your Zap and afterward, you can go to your Autoklose account and start a campaign.

When a contact opens an email, that contact will be automatically sent to your Salesforce account. If for some reason that action does not happen automatically, you can manually run your Zap.

Update the existing contact to Salesforce based on the campaign activity using Zapier:

Repeat the first and the second step in the same way as above, then in the third step “Choose App & Event” in the “Choose Action Event” select Update Contact option, the rest is the same as for adding a contact.

Add contacts from Salesforce to Autoklose and move them automatically to Do Not Email list using Zapier

Create new Zap and in the first step choose these options :

Choose App - Salesforce

Choose Trigger Event - New Contact

Then connect your Salesforce account.

Now in the second step set up your criteria and Autoklose account :

Choose App - Autoklose

Choose Action event - Add Recipient to Do Not Email List

Next, set up your Autoklose account.

Then you can choose from your existing contacts in your Salesforce account, the contacts to send to Autoklose and move them to the Do Not Email List.

When this Zap is turned on, every time you add a new contact to your Salesforce account, it will be automatically transferred to your Autoklose account in the Contacts tab and set as the Do Not Email.
