Connecting Email Address:

  • Log into your Autoklose account

  • Click on Your Name at the top right and click on Settings

  • Click on the Email tab

  • Click on the Connect email account button

  • Choose  Connect another provider option

We strongly recommend checking and ensuring you have proper IMAP and SMTP settings for your account. They are usually provided by the company IT administrator or email service provider support.

Most usual settings for Gmail/Gsuite:
Your E-mail address and password for your email account (In most cases 2-Step Verification and APP Password are required, check the text below).
Port: 993
Encryption: SSL
Port: 587/465
Encryption: TLS/SSL
The most common setup is shown in the screenshot below.

If there was an error about accessing the Inbox, please go to Google account Security settings enable 2-Step Verification, create and Generate a password for Autoklose. Please check an article from Google's knowledge base about how to enable 2-step verification and create app passwords.

Please note that it will take up to 3 minutes to connect to your account. If there are any errors they will be clearly displayed at the bottom of the screen.

Also, please note that a couple of incorrect connection attempts will lead to a "cool-down" period (our system will prevent connection attempts for an hour).

Sending via API (Connect Google option) can be a bit restrictive, so using basic IMAP/SMTP explained in this text or OAuth SMTP sending can be used for a more flexible approach, with fewer limitations.

It is possible to connect Google accounts using OAuth natively, and still achieve sending using SMTP, instead of API. Check this article to see the best way to do so.

Happy klosing! :)
