Trying to connect sending email account to Autoklose using direct integration and the wrong one connects? This article can help out to resolve this issue.

Usually, this problem is related to the browser's save password (login credentials) feature. Obviously changing the browser and re-trying to connect is the best and most effective solution.

Another one is to use Incognito mode on Google Chrome, or Private window and Private browsing on some other browsers. Using this type of browsing will avoid the use of saved passwords and logins.
Common shortcuts:
Windows, Linux, or Chrome OS: Press Ctrl + Shift + n

Mac: Press ⌘ + Shift + n

After connecting the desired account, change back to your preferred browser or switch to normal browsing mode.

A possible issue with using Incognito/Private browsing mode or another browser could be caused by the use of SSO (Single Sign-on). In case SSO is used to log in to Autoklose even in private browsing mode, the browser can use that sign-in as a default account and still connect only that one without giving the connection choice.

Workaround:

  1. Login to your Autoklose account normally.

  2. Access the Account settings by clicking on the initials at the upper right.

  3. Under Single sign-on connections click the Change SSO, and disconnect the connection.

  4. In case only SSO was used for Autoklose login and to be able to log in without it afterward, it is necessary to set a new login password. Learn how to set it up here.

Now that SSO is deactivated, use the newly created password to log in to your Autoklose account in the browser's Incognito/Private mode, navigate to Email settings and try to connect another email account.

In case there are any issues along the process, feel free to reach out to customer support via chat or by email at support@autoklose.com.

In case you want to avoid using these workarounds in the future, it is recommended to log in to your email client on the preferred browser, using the required set of credentials. This should force your browser to save and later "remember" these credentials when trying to connect your account to Autoklose.
